According to the information available, India is actively pursuing the development and implementation of 6G technology. To create a vision, mission, and goals for 6G, the Indian Department of Telecommunications established the Technology Innovation Group on 6G (TIG-6G), which includes representatives from various ministries/departments, research and development organisations, academia, standardisation bodies, telecom service providers, and industry . India has also started the Bharat 6G initiative, which intends to locate and finance research and the introduction of 6G technology in the nation .
India is working on a locally built 6G technology and plans to introduce it by the end of 2023 or early 2024, according to Minister for Communication Ashwini Vaishnaw . India's ambition to bring out high-speed 6G communication services by 2030 is highlighted in the vision paper for Bharat 6G, which was recently presented . In order to promote growth and digital inclusion for its inhabitants, the government wants to position India as a worldwide leader in 6G .

1. In order for India to be a leader in 6G technology and manufacturing by 2030, the Indian government is promoting next-generation 6G research and innovation throughout the nation. The government is ensuring that India not only becomes an atmanirbhar in this cutting-edge and essential technology, but also a significant contributor to the global good through an all-nation approach that involves industry, start-ups, academia, research laboratories, standardisation bodies, and the government.
2. To develop the vision, mission, and goals for the 6G as well as a roadmap and action plans for 6G in India, the Department of Telecommunications established the Technology Innovation Group on 6G (TIG-6G) on November 1, 2021. Members of the TIG-6G come from various Ministries/Departments, research and development organisations, academic institutions, standardisation bodies, telecom service providers, and industry. The TIG-6G then established six Task Forces on Multi-Disciplinary Innovative Solutions, Multiplatform Next Generation Networks, Spectrum for Next Generation Requirements, Devices, International Standards Contribution, and Funding Research and Development with representatives from business, academia, R&D organisations, and government as members.-
