Get ready for Minecraft 1.20 update release

Get ready for Minecraft 1.20 update release:

The Trails & Tales update, often known as Minecraft 1.20, was introduced in October 2022. Fans could only guess when the update would ultimately appear because no firm release date for it was provided. Although Mojang has said that it would launch by the end of the spring of 2023, little more is known at this time. Yet, there are a few signs that the release of 1.20 is approaching shortly.

Mojang is presently disseminating the pre-release snapshots for the 1.20 update, in case some Minecraft players hadn't noticed. This often happens when Mojang is preparing for the release by correcting bugs and making minor adjustments after the main features of an update have been done.

Leaving pre-releases aside, when will Minecraft 1.20 actually release? Although it's difficult to say for sure, it appears that gamers won't have to wait for long.

Why Minecraft 1.20's release date may be in late May or early June

In previous years, June has been a popular month for Minecraft updates. On June 7, 2022, precisely three weeks after the initial pre-release snapshot, the 1.19 upgrade was made available to users. This pattern was continued with the 1.18 update, which debuted three weeks after its first pre-release but didn't come out in June.

It's reasonable to infer that Mojang has finished the most of the implementations it planned to provide for 1.20 since the most recent snapshots of 1.20 have shifted towards doing bug repairs and block/item modifications rather than introducing new features. It is safe to assume that a release date is not far off when developers are solely concentrating on bug repairs and minor improvements.

On May 10, 2023, the first pre-release of Minecraft 1.20 was released. With these details and the assumption that Mojang will adhere to the production timetable utilised for the last two upgrades, Trails & Tales may release as early as May 31 or early June 2023.

It would also be consistent with Mojang's earlier declaration that the update will be available by the end of Spring 2023 to release it in late May or early June. As summer officially begins in the middle of June, the studio doesn't have a lot of leeway if they want to honour their earlier commitment.

It goes without saying that challenges might arise throughout the development process and cause the release date for Minecraft 1.20 to be postponed. There haven't been any signs, though, that Mojang is experiencing any issues implementing the features it has recently added to previews. The developer's recent emphasis on ensuring the new features function as well as feasible should indicate that the finishing touches are being used.

Release candidate snapshots, which are normally implemented right before an update's official release, will be verified if Mojang provides them in the upcoming weeks.

To give the Trails & Tales update a specific release date, Mojang could also produce a trailer in the upcoming days and weeks. This isn't necessarily a given with every update, though. Technically, the update had a trailer when it was first announced in 2022.

Fans may want to be ready for the release of Minecraft 1.20 sometime in late May or early June depending on how Mojang's development cycle for the update has developed so far.
